Hello my friends, how are you doing?

I had the craziest week of my mission so far! I finished reading the Book of Mormon on Tuesday marking everything. So I have a Book of Mormon now with 41 tabs in it.

On Wednesday we helped our friends move again. This is the same friend that we helped move before but they needed more help with some stuff. So that was good and fun.

The next two days were pretty standard then Saturday was transfer news! Just to preface this is how we get moved around. Whatever the mission president feels inspired to do, but typically we are in an area for 2-3 transfers (one transfer is roughly 6 weeks long). I was genuinely shocked when we got transfer news and I wasn't staying in Chartres. It took me a while to find my name but I  found out I am going to Les Lilas, a sector in Paris that is known as the busiest sector in the mission! You apparently do a lot of calls, but that aside, I am super stoked. My new companion is from Tahiti, his name is Elder Tupana and from what I've heard he is the sweetest guy. We transfer out on Tuesday. We also have a special guest coming to the mission. Elder Soares is coming and speaking to us! We are super stoked for that as well. All in all, a crazy week. This is my last day in Chartres. We'll see what my next adventure is. Needless to say the pace is about to pick up very rapidly from a slow little city (Chartres) to Paris.

Spiritual thought: recently we were challenged to listen to Elder Soares talks, one that he gave stood out to me that I really liked. In this last general conference he gave us this promise.

My dear friends, when we choose to let God be the most powerful influence in our life over our self-serving pursuits, we can make progress in our discipleship and increase our capacity to unite our mind and heart with the Savior.

I love what he said and I can see how my life has been blessed and the lives of our friends have been blessed as we align ourselves to the will of the Savior not to the will of man.

Love yall see ya next week
peace out, Elder Smith
