Bonjour à tous!
I'm enjoying these last couple of weeks in Paris. I'll find out on Saturday if I'm leaving on the next transfer, and I'm really hoping to stay. I love the fast pace of the city – there's always something to do, and time is flying by. It truly feels like I've only been here in Paris for four weeks, not four months.
We had some other really cool experiences this past week. We were able to get eight friends to church, which was an absolute miracle and an answer to our prayers. We also have a baptism this Sunday! Our friend who is getting baptized this Sunday night is absolutely amazing. I've loved seeing her progression and spiritual knowledge grow since I arrived. She was one of my first lessons here and on our first call we talked about coffee and tea. She even made us some incredible food yesterday!

We're always finding new people to talk to. Everywhere you go in France is a new and different experience. For example, one day we were doing street contacting in Bois de Vincennes a park here in Paris which is absolutely huge. We ran into Sammie he wasn’t interested in church but he told us that he played the real football. Elder Talbot started talking to him about soccer then he said american football and we were so confused, like we found ONE! Turned out he played american football for a team here in France for 20 years. He also started talking to us about college football, he knew about the 2005 06 Florida gator team. Soooo you'll never know who you will meet.
Spiritual Thought
I've been studying the life of Christ in the Bible. In Matthew 16:15-18, Jesus asks his disciples who they think he is. Peter recognizes Jesus as the Son of God and our Messiah. Jesus then blesses Simon and changes his name to Peter, which means "rock" in Hebrew. It's no coincidence that Peter was also one of the three angels who appeared to Joseph Smith to restore the Melchizedek Priesthood and the fullness of the gospel. It's super awesome to see and study the life of Christ. All of Matthew 16 is a super amazing chapter. I would encourage you all to read it.
See you next week, have a great one, and stay prayed up!
