Bonjour a tous!

Transfer News is in: my Companion Elder Tuua is leaving me and going to le Mans and I'm receiving Elder Butler from le Mans so they literally just flipped lol. 

Saint-Quentin is still an awesome place. Yesterday night we tried to do service and serve soup at this big community party. But when we got there we were informed that this massive cauldron was broken, so they just had a tons of cold soup in the center of this big party. But it's ok because our member literally knows everyone in this city and he was able to hook us up with free peanuts-goat. 

Chez Michele: we have a member whom we all love very dearly but he's soo funny! It's completely unintentional, but we get to his house and he spends maybe 30 minutes looking for a piece of paper (like tearing apart his apartment while we're just there watching him). So he gave us coke and this non alcoholic drink, it was actually so gross it was a taste that you'll have in the back of your throat for the rest of your day blaughk. 

Oh one other thing that happened which I thought was funny. Elder Tuua called this one guy and the conversation turned into what your favorite food is and Elder Tuua said Poisson Cru which means raw fish. This guy from Cameroon couldn't believe it, it was a very funny conversation about it all. 

Pense spiritual 

In our mission there is a very big push to memorize scripture,so that's what we're doing. I've seen it bless me. Sometimes a scripture of encouragement that I memorized will just pop into my brain. If you don't know what scripture to memorize do this one:

2 Nephi 27:23 
For behold, I am God; and I am a God of miracles; and I will show unto the world that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and I work not among the children of men save it be according to their faith.

I recently memorized this scripture and so many times it's helped me out. I truly believe that scriptures aren't something we're just supposed to read but to also use and practice with.

 February 3, 2025 This week we had Transfer News, I will be staying in Les Lilas and my Comp Elder Tupana will be leaving (RIP Mon Tahitian!). What I didn't expect this transfer was to be training a brand new Elder! I have no idea what his name is but I can't wait! We pick them up on Thursday.  Other than that we have been really focusing on members this last week sending them spiritual thoughts. Our plan this next week is to bring them a bunch of cookies !!!! Our members here are actually super powerful. Every single one of them has a super strong testimony. Members are super important for this work! It's your testimony that inspires lasting change in the hearts of the people we teach.  Well I'm officially 20 today! Crazy how fast time passes. I've been alive for 20 years and I can confidently say I've learned more about myself in the last year than I did the other 19. If there's one thing I know it's that you have a Heavenly father and he loves you.  My week was good.This area is much different than Les Lilas where I was before here. There is a lot of retirees and cars, so the people we stop normally don't want to listen, so we adjusted and just started doing door to door alot of it. The ward here is awesome! Yesterday after church we went to the Bourroux's house. They're so cool. Their son is going on a mission here soon and the kids are crazy fun. They have two girls who are just bursting with energy so we built a magnetic house with them. Then Sunday night we get a call from our member Pascal who owns a pizza place. February 17, 2025 Bonjour a tous! Hello everyone I made it through another week of awesome missionary work! I'll run you through the highlights of the week. So many elect people!  On Thursday I met this super elect person on the metro. We just started talking and he was super interested. He was born into a Christian household but doesn't go to church often. Loves the bible too! I felt prompted on the metro to share with him Amos 3: 7 which is - Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. - Then I told him that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and that he gave us prophets in every period of time. It was super cool to see a light go off in his brain. Then I bore a quick testimony about our Prophet and the Book of Mormon.
