This week was lit, the work here is growing at an incredible rate. We had the opportunity to set four baptismal dates this week! We also were able to see a couple of our friends come to church. One of them was an absolute miracle because we weren't able to get a hold of him until Sunday morning when we called him at like 8:30. Church starts at nine.
We also had a surprise guest. There is an elder who came home from his mission for a week to take care of some health problems. But he was able to join us, he was awesome. His name is Elder Cockx. He's going back to his mission this Wednesday. He currently is serving in the Vancouver, Canada mission. But yeah, for the last 4 days we have been a trio in Charleroi. He also has a car which has made it really, really nice to go and visit all these members. We also saw an inactive family come back to church this last Sunday, which was super cool.
Yesterday we have a super cool family in the world. And they invited all the friends that we had at church to come over and eat crepes with them and the 4 missionaries. So we had 4 friends and 4 missionaries all at their house. None of our friends know each other either, so it was really fun to eat crepes together. And then we played a really, really fun game with a tie, I have a video of my companion winning on my Google Photos album. Highly recommended, it’s hilarious. But truly we saw so many miracles this week and even more coming up!
For today, I just wanted to share a scripture with you all.
Ephesians 2: 19-20
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone;
I love this first because it talks about how the true church of Christ will be founded upon prophets and apostles with Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone.
Je vous aime tous
Elder Smith
