Hello back home hope you're doing great!

This is my first email in Amiens. I'm loving it. It's a blast, it has a massive cathedral and my companion is super cool, his name is Elder Laughlin. It's gonna be a good time today. We went and got some o takos.

This week was low key kind of crazy for me on Saturday. We had a baptism in this sector which was an absolute lob from these elders who were before me, they planned a baptism days after the transfer, which is crazy. Super cool. He's from Nigeria. His name's literally "Success".

It's been amazing to see all the growth that I've had as a missionary, but also to see the growth that my friends that I've taught have had. This morning, I woke up to a voice message from a new member in Lilas telling me all about how much she loved the temple and how much she's loving her new calling! It is amazing for me to see someone that we found that is now super integrated into the church and an amazing member, it made me so happy.

This town's awesome. There's a ton of colleges and universities, so there's a ton of youth walking around. The other day, I stopped a inactive number on the bus who served a mission. It was pretty funny when we found out! The city's lit! It has the biggest cathedral in France, along with an amazing centerville, and Christmas markets coming in soon. We're so very excited for that.

Also shout out to BYU for that win over Utah, and somebody tell the raiders to lock in and start scoring points.

Spiritual thought

I've been thinking a lot about acting on the promptings of the spirit and the best way to do that. And I realize especially on my mission, that oftentimes is the first thing that comes to our brain The end of the book of mormon moroni 10 verse 5. It essentially says that everything good comes from Christ. If the first instinct we have is a good instinct that will help somebody more often than not. It's the spirit telling us to do something. Following the promptings of the spirit is the best way to live our life. There's no better teacher than the spirit of the lord.
