Hello, everybody. I'm still out here on a mission. Doing great, eating a lot and loving life!

I love my current city. It's called Amiens. One cool fact about this city is that there are a ton of universities. So there's a lot of people my age, so it's super fun to talk with people on the road and also, there's a lot of young adults in our ward, so I like to joke with them. We saw a ton of success here this last week. We had 7 friends come to church! Our zone this transfer is doing something called "burn the ships". It's based off this Spanish conquistador who decided that retreat was not an option so he burned the ships so that he and his men could not retreat.

This week we had an exchange in Lille, it was awesome. I was with the tallest missionary in the mission right now, Elder Checkettes. But it low-key rained the whole day so it felt like a weird exchange. I love my district, they're GOATS. We were able to count a lot of miracles that happened to us this week. But one miracle was that 7 of our friends came to church. One of our friends is awesome. He's the son of a member, his name is Chouette, which in French translates to awesome or cool. It's a slang word, but you can't say Chouette in church, otherwise you're getting the attention of a 10-year-old boy (I learned that yesterday).

My favorite apostle is Jeffrey R Holland One of my favorite talks by him is in 2011. We are all enlisted. In it he says this

"the great thing about this call to arms is that we ask not for volunteers to fire a rifle or throw a hand grenade. No, we want battalions who will take as their weapons “every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God"

No dull blade can cut, and the way to sharpen your blade is by regular scripture study. I love thinking in analogies like this and It got me thinking in what ways do I sharpen my blade each and every day ? How are we sharpening our blade in everyday life ?
