We are living life out here! I'm going to start my email with a funny story that we had this week. Like 2 weeks ago I called a blue dot  (a member who was less active). As soon as she picked up the phone I knew that she was amazing. She Is from Cameroon. I said, Hey, can you come to church this Sunday? And she said, yeah, I'll be there! From the first contact I could tell that she was like the boss of the household. She's so very direct and it's so awesome. Her husband is currently a non-member and we called him this last Saturday to make sure that he was coming to church. He said he would be there and then his wife, our little Cameroonian member, came over, took the phone from him and told us that he wanted to be baptized! So we kind of explained that it is his choice, but if he has that desire, we would be happy to teach him and prepare him for that day! They both were at church this Sunday and we had a great lesson and she was pretty much explaining the whole gospel to him in like 30 minutes, so it was a great Sunday.

There's also a member in our ward called Gil. He's my favorite person. I have a photo of him below. He's like 5'1”. He is so happy all the time and has so much energy. It's awesome to be around him. A lot of things happened for us this week as well as a lot of finding but it was good. It was worth it. It gave me another perspective on missionary work and just going out and getting your hands dirty.

Also, this branch is amazing here There are a lot of returned missionaries, so the branch runs smooth like butter. Also, they're organizing a big Christmas party, and I was asked to be Santa Claus! I think our world was trying to tell me to stop eating candy.

One miracle that I saw this week was I received a message from one of the new members in Charleroi that I was able to baptize. She sent me a message telling me “Smith! I got my temple recommend. I'm going on the 22nd. Can you make it?” So now I'm trying to figure that out, but it is amazing to see her spiritual progression (and mine as well as we taught her and did all these things for her).

We have some conferences this week, so I'll be able to see all the Elders from the Brussels zone as well as the Elders from the Lille zone, it will be top.

God is good.

Spiritual thought
Most of my studies this week have been studying the significance of the sacrament

1 Corinthians 11
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

The thing that stood out to me was "in remembrance of me". When we take the sacrament we remember that without Christ and his sacrifice we are lost.
