Hello, This week was wild.

Tuesday was just a chill P Day and I bought some more flannels. So hype!

On Wednesday, we had an exchange with the elders in Liege, so we went and had really good waffles. I was with another Elder, who's from Tahiti and is a super awesome missionary. He might be one of the funniest people in our mission. We decided to go to this staircase that's the biggest staircase in Liege, it was crazy. Actually, we climbed up it and we could see all of Liege at night, beautiful! We also did a bunch of finding down there.

The next day we brought up Liege 2 (another companionship) for an exchange, and I was with Elder Vaughan. It was a great exchange. Later that night we went to one of our member's house who is known in the mission for her ability to cook. Her name is Soeur Fuji. So she had 6 missionaries over there one night, and after our meal, she made the slight Japanese curry we had cheesecake, which was insane. It was so good

Friday, we ran and did an exchange with the elders of Nivelles. We went to this one guy's house who was interested, but definitely has had a hard time recently, and we were able to teach this really amazing plan of salvation lesson. But at the end, he started talking about the most random things ever known to man about Muslims and Donald Trump and just all over the place. But it was still a good lesson.

On Saturday, we were planning on doing an exchange, but it fell through so it was just me and my companion for the day, and we had a really good day, We started by playing basketball with a couple members and friends. We then got food and taught some lessons. And went finding and studied, so it was pretty standard.

Then, on Sunday, we had a normal Sunday at church, I had a good amount of friends. Pull up the real miracles happened after we had 2 lessons. And they were both amazing. We are starting to teach this one family from the Ivory Coast. Their names are Olga and Jackson, and they are so amazing, they're searching for the truth and they want their family to be together forever. It's just an amazing slam dunk as missionaries, them having questions like that. And then we had another lesson with my miracle person. Her name is Clarice, she was somebody that I found on the tram like 2 weeks ago, and she came to church and she hasn't missed since, and she is super amazing. She knows a member of our church already, they are work colleagues. Wild miracle, small world.

Also one more funny story, me and my companion yesterday. We're doing weekly planning, and I was standing next to a chessboard when 4 kids came over and asked if they could play me in Chess, and I said yes, and this is all happening while my companion is in the bathroom. So my companion came out and I'm playing four people in Chess. I did win. That's the important thing.

Spiritual thought. Honestly, I've been reading a lot about everything, but one of the things is about the opposition that the prophets and apostles of old time faced. I was reading the sermon on the mount from Christ. I think he knew all the trials that his followers would face in their lives, and he said this, and I love this scripture.

Matthew 5
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

love,
Elder Smith
